Intro

I'm a stay at home momma, which in reality means I'm crazy busy just trying to keep the house in some sort of order while not missing a minute of my kids journeys in life, of two wonderful (most of the time) kids. At 3 and 5 they keep me busy and just a tad bit crazy. Over this past couple years, I've slowly been working to learn to do all of those wonderful crafty things that my Grandma had tried to teach me while I was growing up but had no interest in back then. (Man, how I wish I had had the interest because sometimes learning as you go to pick up a craft you know someone lovingly tried to teach you in the past is even more frustrating when you get stuck.) But, as I muck through the learning I'm finding that the crafting is bringing me a sense on peace and relaxation during the crazy of my days of being maid, being a taxi service, working on teaching two littles how to grow into respectable children, and eventually adults, cook, nose (and butt) wiper, referee (who knew how often that role could come into play), and a wife. Juggle life is a hard job for all of us, but something about being at home and juggling all of these different roles all at once puts me in a state of crazy that crafting has somehow helped to begin to balance. I'm mostly a novice at all tings crafty, but I'm loving doing it (and to me that's what counts most). I dabble in sewing (and an super excited over my new machine that will be getting its debut on my next project for a friend's little one), and crochet mostly, but want to learn to knit and would love to re-learn cross-stitch again. Basically, if I can find it within the walls of JoAnn I'm pretty much game to try my hand at it (well, all but painting and sculpture work-my kids make enough messes without me trying my hands at those).
